PRAYER

Thank the Lord for daily bread, for the reminder that His body was broken so that we might experience forgiveness of sin. Thank Him for running water, which reminds us of the Living Water of Life. Ask the Lord to allow you to set up altars throughout your life to remind you of whose you are.

PRAYER

The evidence of a Spirit-filled life is a singing heart (Ephesians 5:18-19). Ask the Lord to fill you with His Spirit. Then you’ll have to sin to keep from singing!

2 Peter 2:15 Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray. They have followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved gain from wrongdoing,

Jude 11 Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam’s error and perished in Korah’s rebellion.

Revelation 2:14 But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, so that they might eat food sacrificed to idols and practice sexual immorality.

Ask the Lord to make you more aware of when you accuse or judge someone falsely based upon feelings alone and to help you live a life free of suspicion toward others.

Leviticus 16:1 – 18:30

  • Read Hebrews 4:16; 10:22 and describe the believers entry into the Holy of Holies. What does this tell you about the heart of God and His desire for His people?

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

  • Why does the Lord make such a big deal about eating meat with the blood?
  • What does sexual sin do to the children of Israel?
  • Why does God give instructions about sexual sin after He gives the regulations regarding the Day of Atonement?

PRAYER

Thank the Lord that Christians have boldness to enter into the very presence of God through faith in Jesus Christ.
